Hydrophobic Demo with Black Scirocco

Black paintwork can be a handful, but done right, you'll get a super sleek and smooth finish, with a deep, wet gloss unlike anything else. Here are the results of a two day detail session with a black roc.

Work performed: Full car bespoke prep/polish work, M188 Deep Crystal Coating (2 coats), Swissvax Crystal Rock wax applied by hand, interior detail, Swissvax Leather Milk conditioning, engine bay cleansing and protectant.

Ebony and Ivory

An exciting day for us as a car model we've never worked on before rolled into Detail Lab today. The Megane RS in white, with a request for a full detail and PPS coating.

Choice of PPS was Meguiar's M188 Deep Crystal Coating, with a layer of Swissvax Glacier wax (specially formulated for white paint) as the topper.

Black Bull Process Pics

Some pics to share our process, this time on a black Lamborghini Gallardo. Work included paint correction to the roof, M205 to eliminate fine swirls on the rest of the bodywork, paint cleanser for gloss enhancement, and a final layer of Swissvax Crystal Rock wax.

Audi R8 Full Works & Swissvax Mystery

Guess its still a long uphill climb for me to get into almost anything 4 wheels (or 2 wheelers welcomed). Little Red R8 made his way into Detail Lab with thunderous roar off his Quad Titanium Mufflers.

Damn i love this brilliant red ... super vibrant .. full of life ... separate it apart from the usual silver and whites.

Task of course is to permanently remove the surface defects we all hated! Multiple swirls caused by improper polishing techniques & possibly products done by previous groomer.

Brilliantly Black Audi A4B6

Here’s an Audi A4B6 (exterior repainted due to age) entrusted to us by an old friend. Despite the repainting, we've spotted lots of heavy swirls on the fresh paintwork due to incorrect polishing techniques and choice of polishes.

Usually, with a painted panel, regardless of the quality of the material used, finishing prep work is still needed in order to enhance gloss as well as to create a swirl-free finish.
