Salsa Scirocco with Swirls

Today, we had a Salsa Red Roc straight off the dealership...barely a few days old.

Unfortunately, we discovered large segments of paintwork littered with swirls aggravated by either dirty dry towels or wrong polishing/waxing techniques.

Pardon the iPhone shot, intensity
of the swirls might be diminished.

Closer observation reveals more than one area
where moderate level of swirls are evident.

We put in long hours to try to remove the more intense swirls because every new car owner deserves more than that! Finally, two coats of Crystal Coating were applied lavishly onto the newly furbished paintwork, and the Scirocco was left to bake in the sun.

Here are some photos of the detailed Scirocco, with a deep, gloss finish that hopefully the owner will be happier with!

Hydrophobic Demo with Black Scirocco

Black paintwork can be a handful, but done right, you'll get a super sleek and smooth finish, with a deep, wet gloss unlike anything else. Here are the results of a two day detail session with a black roc.

Work performed: Full car bespoke prep/polish work, M188 Deep Crystal Coating (2 coats), Swissvax Crystal Rock wax applied by hand, interior detail, Swissvax Leather Milk conditioning, engine bay cleansing and protectant.

A full night of curing for the PPS

Testing the water beading capabilities of the Crystal Coat.

Dripping off to a near-dry finish – almost wax-like!

Dew-like droplets.

Crystal Rock applied on gently by hand:

And the final result, gloss with a touch of warmth.

Dirty Roc Clean Roc

White is great colour for a car. It hides dirt well, and helps a car to look more or less the same unless you examine it closely.

Even white has its limits though, and being parked outdoors most of the time, this candy white Scirocco was reaching it.

It was brought in for a much-needed day at the Detail Lab spa, and after a number of hours of hard work, we're glad to have gotten it back to its original showroom shine.

Dupont PPS was layered on to deter road grime and other surface contaminants, allowing the owner to maintain the shine with weekly DIY car washes.

Red Roc

Not the first Scirocco we've worked on, but the very first in this gorgeous salsa red. With easy maintenance in mind, the plan was straightforward - new car prep followed by Dupont PPS. Here are the end results.
